Bongino In, A weekend of chaos

Dan Bongino will be the No. 2 at the FBI, a right-wing podcaster who rose to fame attacking the FBI and spreading conspiracy theories. In fact in 2020, the New York Times named Bongino one of the biggest "super spreaders" of election lies.

Bongino, another of the many right wing media personalities named to top posts, like Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, has no experience in fighting terrorism and no qualifications to lead the tens of thousands of professional special agents. The move, made Sunday night, capped off a tumultuous weekend of disturbing actions by the new nominees.

On Friday, Hegseth fired America's top general and moved to replace many other experienced military leaders. Also at week's end, RFK Jr. was moving to break his promises to Senator Cassidy, indicating that he is moving to replace key vaccine advisors at the HHS. And the Justice Department continues its war against their own prosecutors.

In just one month in office, Donald Trump has thrown the federal government into a tailspin and voters are reacting. Look our for Month Two.
